Locking a Sticky Note
To lock a Notezilla sticky note for the first time, open the note in your phone app. Click on the three-dotted lines at the top right corner. The options will appear where you will find the option to lock the note.
Clicking on that option, a window will open, asking you to set a master password (as mentioned earlier). This password must be used to unlock and re-lock all notes in the future.
Once you set the password, the note will be locked and be unreadable until you unlock it again. In the notes list, too, it will appear as “Locked note.”
Unlocking a Note
To unlock a locked note, click on the same icon. Here you will get two options, unlock the note temporarily or remove the note lock permanently.
Changing the master password
To change the master password, go to the Main Navigation menu and click on ‘Settings. Select the ‘Notes’ tab and click on the option, “Set master password.”
Here you can set a new master password.
Forgot master password?
You need to be very careful with this password since locked notes cannot open without it, and your data will be inaccessible.
But you can try retrieving the note data from the Notezilla backup folders. Note that this new password will not work on the existing locked notes since their password was different and not traceable.
