Tag files and folders in Windows using Filezo

Tagging files and folders be extremely useful. And sharing them with other users is even more beneficial to businesses and organizations.   1. Open the ‘Files’ tab in Filezo.
  2. Right click on a file and select the Tags option from the menu.
  3. We can assign multiple tags using comma as shown in the video.
  4. Let’s try another way of creating a tag.
  5. Go to the Tags pane and add a new tag.
  6. Choose your preferred tag color.
  7. Now drag and drop the tag on the file.
  8. Right click on the tag for more options like edit or delete.
  9. Let’s open the ‘Folders’ tab now.
  10. Drag and drop the Marketing tag on the folder.
  11. Just double click on the tag to view the tagged folders.
  12. Another way is to type # in the search box and select the tag from the tags list.

That’s it in the video. Sharing tagged files and folders with other users over the network is so helpful in organizations, they just have to install Filezo and index the same shared folders. They will have instant access to the same tags. This can be very useful for businesses.

  5. Select a folder from the list and right click.
  6. Click on the ‘Tags’ option and assign the tag.
  7. Let’s go to the tags pane and edit the tag.
  8. Right click on the Tag and select the Edit option.
  9. We can change the tag color for quick identification.
  10. There are some key functions to manage the folders.
  11. Choose Explorer here to open the containing folder.
  12. We can add a comment to any folder using Note option.
  13. We can directly open the Windows File Explorer menu from Filezo.

Filezo has a fantastic feature wherein you don’t have to navigate any folder when opening or saving a document in Windows file Open/Save dialogue box.

  1. Open Notepad, select File and Open menu.
  2. The Filezo app integrates with almost every File open/save dialog on your PC.
  3. Now let’s search and select the file inside Filezo.
  4. The file is automatically selected in the Windows file open window. Done.
  5. And it works the same way when saving a file.
  6. Let’s save the document.
  7. Instead of browsing through multiple folders, open the Folders tab in Filezo.
  8. Jump to any folder you want just by selecting that folder inside Filezo.
  9. Name your document and save it. And it’s done.

If we don’t want the Filezo window to show automatically along with the File open/save dialog, we can go to settings and disable the option Integrate Filezo with windows file open save window. With this new feature of Filezo we don’t have to dig through endless folders before you finally find what you want.
