Copying files without their folders using Xcopy alternative replacement tool

  1. As shown in the video, select the files, right-click and add it to Copywhiz.
  2. Go to the destination folder, right-click and choose Copywhiz Paste Advanced.
  3. Click on Advanced settings and click on paste all files to a single folder button.
  4. Click on Ok and paste now.

Using Xcopy:

Steps to Copy Files Without Their Folders Using Xcopy:

  1. Open the Command Prompt by pressing Win + R, typing cmd, and hitting Enter.
  2. Use the following syntax for Xcopy:xcopy "source_path\*.*" "destination_path" /S /I
    • Replace source_path with the location of the files you want to copy.
    • Replace destination_path with the target directory where you want to place the copied files.
    • /S ensures that files inside subdirectories are copied.
    • /I assumes that the destination is a directory.

Example:

xcopy "C:\Users\User\Documents\Projects\*.*" "D:\Backup" /S /I

This command will copy all files from the Projects folder and its subdirectories into D:\Backup, but will keep the subfolder structure.
