Version 6.0.1 - 5 Aug 2025
- Filezo 6.0 Launched!
- A completely new, beautiful user interface that's fun and intuitive.
- Better search capabilities with wild-card search, path search, exclude search and note search.
- Files and folders lists are cleaner and accurate with better performance.
- Smoother and automatic integration of Filezo with Windows file open/save windows.
- Hierarchical tags support.
- Tags are color-coded.
- Add a note/comment to any file/folder.
- Preview several types of files from within Filezo without launching additional apps.
- Replace the file previewer with another third party free previewer like QuickLook.
- The tag information is saved as part of NTFS system seamlessly. So when you copy/move/rename a file/folder then the tags are still retained. Also it works on FAT32 systems with some limitations.
- If you clean-up Filezo data and start from fresh, Filezo will automatically restore all the tags from both NTFS and FAT32 systems.
- Tagged files/folders can be shared with other users over network. Filezo running on their systems will automatic pick all the tags and the associated files and folders.
- Separate Browse tab to browse specific folder. Useful when tagging multiple sub-folders and files inside a single folder.
- Programs are listed under Files tab itself. There is no separate tab for Programs.
- Website history/bookmark feature has been removed as the modern browsers have it in-built.
- Clipboard history feature has been removed as Windows OS already has it in-built (Win+V keys).
- Plus many bug fixes and better way to handle things :)
