How do I have RecentX move my index file to another hard drive.  Right now it seems to force itself on my C: drive at approx 1GB and I don't want it using that space since I'm on a smaller capacity SSD.  How can I have the index file use a different drive please?

Please follow the below steps to index file using a different drive:

  1.  Exit RecentX
  2. Run regedit.exe and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Conceptworld\RecentX\Settings key
  3. There on the right you will find "DataFolder" key. That is where the data is stored. You can move all the files from there to another folder and change the value of that key in registry to point to the new folder.
  4. Run RecentX

Thanks for asking. I think we must provide an easier way to do this.
