If we move files on Windows pc, do the tags stay on them or not?

Where are the tags kept in  RecentX ? If files move do the tags stay on them or not? Do the tags move to and from a non local drive, like a network on Windows?

Tags are stored inside  RecentX 's data files. When you move a file anywhere, the tag doesn't remain associated with the file. So you would have to retag them.

Also, when you move files,  RecentX  cannot know their new locations on Windows computer. So technically it is not possible unless the tags are stored inside the files.
