I am using  Filezo  to quickly find a file/folder on my system. I am tagging my files/folders.
An important question: What do I have to do when I transfer all my file system to a new computer? Do I have to re-tag all my files?

Are tag conserved by backups?

Tags in  Filezo  are saved as part of NTFS file system. So if you simply copy files/folders from one NTFS drive to another NTFS drive directly then all the tags will be retained. After copying, just install  Filezo  and it will restore all the tags back even if you have copied on another drive on inside another folder.

If you have your tagged files on a file system such as FAT32 also, you can simply copy everything as it is to another computer.  Filezo  will restore all the tags back. On Non-NTFS file syste,  Filezo  stores the tags differently. But they are still restorable.

The less recommended option is that after you have transferred your files and folders to another system, you copy  Filezo 's data file also to another PC/laptop. But in this case, you must ensure that the folder structure and drive letters are exactly same as the previous system.

To know where  Filezo  stores its data, go to Settings in  Filezo  and click on the Advanced tab.
