Restoring Notezilla Sticky Notes Data from Backup

by Conceptworld Team on May 4th, 2007

Notezilla keeps backup copies of its sticky notes data inside “Backup” subfolder under the actual data folder:

Default Data Folder:

Windows XP, Windows 2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\Conceptworld\NoteZilla

Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Conceptworld\NoteZilla

Note that ‘App Data’ folder is a hidden folder. In order to access it, you would need to type its name in the address bar of the Windows Explorer. For example, if you are inside C:\Users\Ronald folder, just go to the address bar and add ‘App Data’ to the existing address to make it C:\Users\Ronald\App Data and hit ENTER key.

Notezilla keeps 5 copies of the notes data under the “Backup” subfolder. Each copy in a separate dated folder.

In order to restore notes data from a dated backup folder, follow the below steps:

  1. Exit Notezilla
  2. Copy all the files from the dated backup folder (example: Backup\2011-05-04\) to the actual data folder (specified above)
  3. Launch Notezilla. You must see all your notes successfully restored

Unicode (Asian languages etc) is not support in Notezilla 7.0. We will be adding the support in the next version. Thanks.
