• IMPROVED: Added capability to import, export and synchronize notes between QNP and MS-Outlook. This will in turn enable you to synchronize notes with your favorite PDA via MS-Outlook.

• IMPROVED: The content of the note does not disappear when resizing the note.

• IMPROVED: The vertical scrollbar in a sticky note will appear only when it is required (if the content exceeds the size of the note). If you do not see a vertical scrollbar, you must enable it in General Preferences|Notes tab.

• IMPROVED: The scrollbar thumb can be dragged in order to scroll the content of the note. This feature was very much in demand. It has been made much better (although not exactly like the Windows standard scrollbar).

• IMPROVED: Added capability to create transparent notes. Transparency level can be set using General Preferences|Notes tab. This feature is available only on Windows 2000 or higher systems.

• IMPROVED: Pressing Ctrl+Shift+W key from a note will immediately attach (stick) the note to the currently active window. Pressing the key combination again will detach the note from the window.

• IMPROVED: Added support for multiple monitors.

• IMPROVED: Holding Ctrl key when right clicking on a note will allow the user to toggle "Word Wrap" and "Vertical Scrollbar" options from the menu. Earlier builds never allowed these settings to be changed on a Per-Note-Basis.

• IMPROVED: Added support for /ShutDown command line parameter. Calling QNPlus.exe /ShutDown will close the current instance of Quick Notes Plus. This command line parameter is helpful when taking backup of Quick Notes Plus data files and during synchronization of data files between computers.

• IMPROVED: Holding Shift key when pasting content in to a note will paste unformatted text. This is important when copying content with large font or of lighter font color.

• FIXED: Ctrl+O key (Roll up/down note) inside a memoboard did not work correctly. This has been fixed.

• FIXED: "Roll up/down notes" states and "Show/Hide notes" states are saved so that toggling works correctly even when restarting Quick Notes Plus.

• IMPROVED: F6, F7 and F8 keyboard shortcuts have been replaced with Alt+N, Alt+F and Alt+T keyboard shortcuts. These keyboard shortcuts are used to access note menu, formatting menu and title menu from inside a sticky note. See "Keyboard Shortcuts" topic in Quick Notes Plus 5.0 help for more details.

• FIXED: Font size 10 could not be set from inside a sticky note or using the General Preferences. This has been fixed. Due to this fix, any text of font size 10 would line up with the lines of Ruled Paper skin.

• FIXED: Classic and Classic Gradient skin titles showed up a broken line when resizing. This has been fixed.

• FIXED: The tootip for "Empty Trash" button in Trash memoboard showed (Ctrl+Alt+D) instead of (Ctrl+Alt+E). This has been fixed.

• FIXED: Whenever WinCleaner Utility Suite performed the system cleanup, the Quick Notes Plus memoboard popped up. This has been fixed.

• CORRECTED: Corrected spellings and grammar in some English sentences.

• IMPROVED: Set appropriate shortcut keys for the controls in all the windows and dialog boxes.

• IMPROVED: On Windows XP systems, sometimes the system tray icons do no show up during startup, although the associated applications run in memory. This is a known bug in Windows XP.  This problem affected Quick Notes Plus also. Quick Notes Plus has been modified so that launching it again in such scenarios (while it is in memory) would make the icon visible in the system tray.

• FIXED: Friend Groups were not being deleted from the Friend Preferences window. This has been fixed.
